City Dwellers aimed to create a fashion brand that embodies the resilience and ambition of urban hustlers. The challenge was to design a brand identity that is both sophisticated and reflective of the heritage of those who have risen from humble beginnings. The identity needed to convey timelessness, durability, and meaningfulness, appealing to individuals who are mature, creative, dark, reliable, rigid, and determined.

APPROACH
Our approach began with in-depth research into the target audience and their values. We created a style scape that visualized the blend of sophistication and heritage. The color palette—0C0D23 (deep, dark blue) representing determination and reliability, BF4763 (rich maroon) symbolizing passion and resilience, E4C453 (gold) reflecting success and ambition, 6666CC (cool blue) for creativity, D7C5B1 (soft beige) for maturity and timelessness, and E0E0E1 (light gray) for durability and reliability—was meticulously chosen to evoke the brand's character traits.

The logo design fused elements of a gravestone, a road sign, and a cross, symbolizing the journey from hardship to hope and the enduring legacy of those who persevere. The design elements drew inspiration from religious signs, creating a sense of reverence and significance. Sharp shapes were used to convey strength and determination.

The final designs incorporated a strong, memorable logo, a cohesive color scheme, and carefully selected typography that exuded sophistication. The composition was balanced and elegant, capturing the essence of City Dwellers. The messaging highlighted the journey from adversity to success, resonating with the brand story of Iyanu.

The result was an identity that celebrated the roots and aspirations of urban hustlers, setting City Dwellers apart as a unique and meaningful fashion brand. At the end of this project the question we are left with for the users of City Dweller is, "did we hit the mark?"
